UK Visa Procedures:
Before making the visa application to UK all procedures with British Council, that will be the sponsor, should be completed and COS (Certificate of Sponsorship) should be received from British Council. British Council shall email you the COS certificate at first and then shall send the original to your postal address.
• Apply to the External Affairs Unit with the letter of Declaration of Intention/Acceptance received from the internship institution.
• Make your passport procedures
• After the passport is issued scan all pages of the passport (including front and rear covers and blank pages)
• Fill the document for “Information for COS”
• Bring the required documents to External Relations unit by yourself or send to the above address by e-mail to erasmuspl@cu.edu.tr
• A Nomination Letter shall be prepared by the External Relations Unit and shall be sent to British Council with the aforementioned documents by External Relations Unit and/or by the British Council. Please ask to External Relations Unit since the e-mail address to be sent may vary.
• Start visa process after you receive your COS certificate (It takes two weeks to receive the original document.) You can also apply for a visa with the document received via e-mail)
• Visa procedures are carried out by WorldBridge Get an appointment.
• Type of visa you apply is "Tier 5".Remarks:
• After you go to UK and start your internship, send an e-mail to British Council including address of accommodation during your stay in UK, a contact telephone no and UK visa page scanned.
• Please inform the British Council on any changes.
• Inform the finishing date of your internship after it is completed.
• After returning to Turkey e-mail the page on your passport indicating the entry seal to the country on your passport.
