INSURANCE
The following insurances should be made for Erasmus Internship activity abroad.
Health Insurance Coverage
Higher education institutions are obliged to notify to the student the need to have health insurance. Some Consulates requires travel-health insurance when applying for a visa. Before you apply for a visa, the insurance should in a way to cover internship period and must be taken out at least 30.000,00 Euro guaranteed. Responsibility
Liability Insurance Coverage
Insurance coverage for possible damages by students given to the work place.
Higher education institutions are obliged to make sure that the student has taken out a policy of liability insurance. Training Agreement includes the information if this insurance policy will be covered by the host enterprise or not. In case there is no obligation for the host enterprise to cover the insurance according to the legislation of the destination country it cannot be imposed to the enterprise to cover the insurance. If the company of internship does not provide accident insurance, student should take out a policy of insurance.
Accident Insurance Coverage
The insurance covering for accidents students may suffer at the workplace
Higher education institutions are obliged to make sure that the student has taken out a policy of accident insurance. Training Agreement includes the information if this insurance policy will be covered by the host enterprise or not. In case there is no obligation for the host enterprise to cover the insurance according to the legislation of the destination country it cannot be imposed to the enterprise to cover the insurance. If the company of internship does not provide accident insurance, student should take out a policy of insurance.
