The International Office of Çukurova University was founded in 1993 to encourage the establishment of diplomatic affairs and to expand collaboration in scientific research activities on international level. After the agreement between Turkey and the European Union to enter the EU Programmes and the Framework Project FP6 in 2002, the efforts started to concentrate on the establishment of an international office which has various units such as Erasmus Programmes, Diplomatic Affairs, EU Projects, Youth, Comenius, and Grundtvig. Since 2004, the International Office has been working to expand bilateral agreements with European universities which enable students and academic staff to take part in the mobility programmes, represent Çukurova University in national and international platforms, and introduce EU and Non-EU programs to students and staff of the University.
